He attributes the success of his five namesake salons, located in Las Vegas, Chicago, Carlsbad, Salt Lake City, and the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas, to the team that has been constructed around him. Cardenas’ concept of integrity based success has conditioned his team of trend-setting stylists to reach exponential heights as salons as well as individual beauty professionals.

Although his journey started in the professional beauty industry, Cardenas feels that it is simply his conduit to have the opportunity to invest in the most valuable commodity that has ever been...people!!!

Vicki Floyd Clark has devoted the past 30 years of her life to building capacity in organizations and inspiring community leaders. A noted speaker, facilitator, consultant and trainer, she has extensive experience in the nonprofit, government and private sectors. Her work includes numerous specialty areas; board development, inclusion and diversity, SL development, strategic planning, project planning, volunteer resource development, and effective communication.

Clark is a member of the Peter F. Drucker Foundation’s training and consultation team and a Senior Governance Consultant for BoardSource. Each year she speaks to thousands of community, business and government leaders and has made presentations in 48 of the 50 United States.

Jeffrey Foley- Retired Brigadier General,

Jeffrey W. Foley hails from Cincinnati, Ohio, graduated from West Point, and founded the leadership development company Loral Mountain Solutions, LLC in 2013. He works with executives and business leaders who want to lead with impact and inspire their teams to achieve positive, lasting change in their organizations.

Jeff served over 32 years in the United States Army leading soldiers in war and peace. He is an author, leadership coach, and speaker. He is certified as a Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coach TM. He is a partner with the Ken Blanchard Companies, the Wiley Corporation (5 Behaviors of an Effective Team TM), and with Jim Horan’s One-Page Business Plan TM company. He co-authored the book Rules and Tools for Leaders (4th Edition). He is also a contributing author to the book Servant Leadership in Action (edited by Ken Blanchard and Renee Broadwell, 2018).

He is also the founder of the H-Squared Leadership Institute, an organization focused on helping people take the good in life to a higher level and to inspire them to pursue excellence while making the world a kinder, gentler, and more positive place. He is featured on the radio with his Motivational Minute featuring uplifting messages.

Habeeb frequently speaks to organizations, businesses, and universities on topics such as overcoming adversity, SL, ethics, creating a service-based corporate culture, customer service, keeping the faith when things go bad, appreciating the goodness of America and more.

Olivia McIvor is one of the most well-versed “human potential” experts in North America. She has spent over two decades creating workplace cultures that are healthy, as well as performance- and purpose-driven. Her mission is to bring the concept of kindness into organizations. At SLC19, Olivia will present an interactive session that will highlight the value of kindness. In addition, she’s bringing two guests from Kaiser Permanente — Dr. James Lau and Kimi Omi-Braxton — who will present a case study focused on their work to implement a kindness-based culture.



Carla Rieger - CEO of The Artistry of Change Training Inc.

CARLA RIEGER is an expert on helping people do “mental resets” to increase SL skills and resilience so they can thrive and grow despite challenging situations. She is the CEO of The Artistry of Change Training Inc, for the last 20 years. Her academic background includes organizational psychology, counseling psychology, conflict resolution, adult education and educational kinesiology. She has written four books, hundreds of articles and over 15 online learning programs. In addition, she has 24 years as an organizational change trainer and speaker, and 10 years experience in the performing arts, specifically comedy. She has spoken to over 1500 groups on 4 different continents. As a frequent speaker, trainer, facilitator, coach and consultant, Carla helps people bring out the best in others.
